Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #317

Happy Wednesday! Only two more days of work and then I'm off for a week, I am so looking forward to it.
As it's Wednesday, it's time for a new challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge, our theme this week is Anything Goes and we have a fab sponsor, Cute as a Button.
You may have seen last week that we've got a design team call out at the moment. Sadly Caz has left the team and I am also stepping down as I'm struggling with my health at the minute. It's a fab team to work with, you need to be able to work with digi stamps and comment on two out of every ten comments and make a card once a week. It's a really friendly and helpful team, so, if you've never been on a design team before, this could be a great first team for you.
I'm still making a few cards until some new teamies are appointed and so I used this cute image from our sponsor, Cute as a Button for my card.
I printed off the image and coloured it with my trusty copics. I used tattered lace round fancy label dies to cut out the image and frame it with some turquoise card.
I mat and layered up a background of turquoise card and patterened paper from an old lili of the valley pad on a 6x6 card base. It doesn't show as well in the picture as in real life, but the paper has dark purple dots on it and so I die cut Lawn Fawn Scripty Hugs in a similar colour to tie in. The pearls in the corners are also a deep purple and not as black as they look on screen. I added a bit of faux stitching round the edge of my image to finish it off. Simples x
I'm looking forward to seeing your creations and don't forget the DT call!

Sweet Stampin' - Flowers

Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and our theme this week is Flowers.
I used a clear stamp by Viva Decor, 3D Amelie. The set includes several stamps of the same flower but trimmed down, so that you can cut them out and layer them up to give dimension. I hope that makes sense!  I used the full flower stamp (base stamp) for my card today.
I stamped the flower in black archival on Kraft card and then used my polychromos pencils to colour it in. It was a bit of an experiment as I hadn't coloured directly on to Kraft card before, and I didn't lay down a white layer first. Still need some work on that technique! I then added some bits with a white gel pen on top.
Using a 6x6 base I layered it up with tattered lace pindot squares and added a sentiment from a tattered lace stepper card set. Not my best offering, I'm afraid mojo and energy have been sadly lacking this week, but I had fun colouring.
I'm looking forward to seeing your creations, just remember to include some stamping to be considered for the top three. Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.

Wow, Wednesday again. Where is the time going? It's time for our new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme is Anything Goes and we have a great sponsor this week, Fred She Said.
I used this gorgeous coloured image from Fred She Said for my card this week, ideal for a quick card, although you can also get it as a digi stamp if you like colouring.
I used a Sue Wilson die - Tuscany for the frame in kraft card and also cut out some kraft card corners with a now unlabelled but probably spellbinders accent set. The background paper was a freebie of Christmas papers that came with a magazine. I stamped the sentiment using lili of the valley stamps. I masked off part of a winter wonderland stamp to create the winter birthday wishes sentiment. I used some dies from a tattered lace stepper card set to cut out and frame the sentiment. All assembled on an 8x8 card. Simples x

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge

Wednesday has rolled round again, and so it's time for anew challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge. Our theme this week is "Anything Goes" and we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and Sparkle n Sprinkle.
I used this stylish image from Lemon Shortbread for my card, coloured her with copics and fussy cut her. I used the same embossing folder I used in my last post, but this time embossed Kraft card and coloured and drew on some of the hearts with a white gel pen and drew in a stitched heart to frame the centre of the card. I went over a couple of the white hearts with a blue copic pen that I'd used to colour her and added some clear wink of stella to some of the plain embossed hearts to add a little sparkle. I stamped the sentiment that came with the embossing folder and stamp set and heat embossed it in white. I layered it all up on a 6x6 card with some denim blue cardstock and added the girl on foam tape to add a little dimension. Job done. I love how different the embossing folder looks on the two cards.

Sweet Stampin' - Valentines/love

Our new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' this week is all about Valentines and love. So, break out the hearts and flowers and get stamping!
My mojo is AWOL at the moment and I was struggling to come up with a card for the challenge, but was rescued by the current issue of Papercraft Essentials. The gift this month is a cute heart based embossing folder and some panda stamps with some sentiments and accents.
I used a 6x6 card blank and mat and layered up some red and black card. I stamped the panda and sentiment and coloured his heart balloon red and fussy cut them out. I embossed some white card with the embossing folder and added the sentiment and panda on foam to add a little dimension. Simples!

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #314

Blimey, February already! Where is the time going? As the first of February is a Wednesday, it's time for a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog.
We have two fab sponsors this week, Oddball Art and Bugaboo and our theme is Anything Goes.
I used this cute Bugaboo image for my card this week. I coloured her with copics and added a little glamour dust to her wings. I cut her out with a circle die and added a frame of pearl purple card using the tattered lace pearl circles dies, I also cut a smaller one of these to frame the sentiment which was made using the stamps included in the Tonic Magazine that came out recently.
I embossed some ivory centura pearl card with a tied together embossing folder and added some tonic Nuvo drops to the centres to finish.
