Happy Bird-day

Sunday evening already, where does the time go? I managed to get a bit of a lie in this morning and a bit of crafting done this afternoon. Apologies for the poor photo, it's tipping it down and is very dark and gloomy.
I inked up this mini set from the recent Clearly Besotted release. Masked off the bird and stamped in the bird bath before adding the splashes and flying birds. I coloured it all in with my copics and die cut it with Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles to match a matt silver mat I had lurking. I didn't tape down the die well enough and so it cut slightly wonky. I had to add the banner to hide the wording behind it which was now standing out like a sore thumb bring wonky. I fussy cut out a few extra birds and added them with some foam tape. I finished it off with some glossy accents on the water and some 1mm gems.

  4. Sounds like you've had the same type of day as us, drab, damp and dreary! That's a fab birdie card - the birds in our garden LOVE having a bath, they could teach Ruby a thing or two (she actually trembles and cries when I take her to the bath!)

  6. Nice save, Cara! It's an adorable birdday card!! I love the way you used the word lurking for your silver mat ~ I have so many UFOs lurking literally behind me that it isn't even funny! I'd call the police on them, but I don't think they'd understand!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. Absolutely gorgeous, and if there's some wonkiness under the banner you've done a great rescue job because it looks as if you'd planned for it to be there all along
