Sunday evening already, where does the time go? I managed to get a bit of a lie in this morning and a bit of crafting done this afternoon. Apologies for the poor photo, it's tipping it down and is very dark and gloomy.
I inked up this mini set from the recent Clearly Besotted release. Masked off the bird and stamped in the bird bath before adding the splashes and flying birds. I coloured it all in with my copics and die cut it with Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles to match a matt silver mat I had lurking. I didn't tape down the die well enough and so it cut slightly wonky. I had to add the banner to hide the wording behind it which was now standing out like a sore thumb bring wonky. I fussy cut out a few extra birds and added them with some foam tape. I finished it off with some glossy accents on the water and some 1mm gems.

Sounds like you've had the same type of day as us, drab, damp and dreary! That's a fab birdie card - the birds in our garden LOVE having a bath, they could teach Ruby a thing or two (she actually trembles and cries when I take her to the bath!)
ReplyDeleteLove this, how did I miss this set?! I am with you on the commenting, last week was a SOB so I just needed some space, like you :) Hope the weather cheers up for you. Cx
ReplyDeleteNice save, Cara! It's an adorable birdday card!! I love the way you used the word lurking for your silver mat ~ I have so many UFOs lurking literally behind me that it isn't even funny! I'd call the police on them, but I don't think they'd understand!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous, and if there's some wonkiness under the banner you've done a great rescue job because it looks as if you'd planned for it to be there all along
