I was going to wait until this card reached its recipient before posting it, but it appears to have gone missing in action along with its contents. The other item I posted with it at the start of January has reached its Australian destination safely, whereas this has vanished whilst on its way to a blogging buddy across the pond. Hopefully, it will reappear at some point!
I had another play with these lovely Polkadoodles Little Monsters Funky stamps, colouring them with my polychromos pencils before cutting them out and adding glossy accents to their eyes.
I die cut the Sizzix Tim Holtz Drip Edge die out of some sludge green card and glued it onto a 6x6 card base. I covered it with glossy accents to make it more slime like and sprinkled a touch of glamour dust on it before it dried. This didn't work quite as I intended as the card had a lot of texture on it which showed through the gloss, but hey it adds interest!
I added the monsters on a bit of 1mm thick foam tape, standing them on top of the slime. I doodled a border round the card and stamped the sentiment (I think from a Paper Smooches set) to finish. Simples!
Love those funky and fun monsters and the way you have done the slime for them to stand on ...or to play in x
ReplyDeleteLove the fun images and a super job on the slime, great doodling too. Shame about the missing item, but our eldest Daughter lives in Oz and we know the post can be very iffy.

Oh Cara I so love how you've used that TH drippy die it works so well with these little guys. Have a great week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE this Cara, what a shame it went missing, but maybe it will turn up yet.
ReplyDeleteI quite often send my cards + envelope into another plain brown envelope so they look less nickable!
I hope the card reaches its destination eventually - maybe instead of the jet plane it caught the slow boat. It would be a pity for such a fab and fun card to be lost forever.
ReplyDeleteThese little monsters are the kind I like - not scary! I love the drippy edge and is the card really called Sludge Green - great name!!! Hope it eventually arrives at its new home.
ReplyDeleteLove your little monsters, brilliant fun design Cara. I hope your parcel will find it's way to your friend, Kate x x

HaHa! Funky and fun little monsters! Your card is adorable, Cara :o)
ReplyDeleteI hate to be that person that hopes this is coming my way. I do hope so as I LOVE this card. You know how much I love Monsters... My vanity aside, I do hope whoever it is for, it shows up eventually. I don't have these monsters... Cx
ReplyDeleteThese wee monsters are fabulous. I hate it when that happens and it happens way too often, I hope your card reappears eventually xx
