I don't think I've shared this card before as I made it last September, but apologies if I did. I went a bit blingtastic on this one!
I used the Sue Wilson Arbour Gate and Bride & Groom dies cut out of centura pearl card. I backed the bride and groom with a bit more card so that they didn't have see through areas. A bit of glamour dust was added to the brides veil. For the background I used an 8x8 flourish embossing folder by Crafters Companion, but used the debossed side as I preferred that for this card. A bit of matting and layering on the 8x8 card to give some dimension and then lots of bling!
Hubby and I were chatting on Sunday about something random, which suddenly reminded me that it was a friend's wedding this month. I checked the invitation that was on the notice board in the kitchen and realised that it's this Saturday! That was a close shave, can't think why I didn't write it on the calendar. Oh well, you may see another wedding card appearing here soon...
so elegant and gorgeous mf...beauty!

ReplyDeleteOoh, I've done that as well...not writing something on the calendar then nearly missing the event. Learned my lesson from that and always mark it in! That wedding card is beautiful, love the touch of bling 😍 And re the barnacles on my blog, only you displayed such awesome appendage knowledge 😁😁😁

ReplyDeleteHi Cara
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm playing catch up but with a workshop, Kate McScottish person visiting and the website to contend with, I've needed 30 hour days lol!
This card is truly stunning. I would imagine it had a prominent position on the mantelpiece.
Best wishes.

Holy cow Cara, this is soooooo elegant! The pearl paper is beautiful and I love the embossing pattern in the background. Your focal piece is stunning! Those die cuts are so intricate and delicate, and I adore the touch of glitter in the bride's veil! The frame of bling and the gorgeous pearl button adds such an elegance! This is definitely a gift as well as a card, to be treasured forever! hugs :)
