Oldie Friday!

What a miserable day, it's been snowing heavily all morning here in Lancashire, fortunately it's not sticking but it makes driving interesting. Oh a gritter has just gone past the window!
I had an early start this morning as we needed to be at the vets for 9. Bramble still has her "squeak" and so the vet repeated the blood tests today. Bramble was very very good and didn't need any sedation for them to take the blood. I did smile to myself as the vet brought her back into the consultation room as she was cuddling her and gave her several kisses on her head before handing her back to me. She is a gorgeous little bunny.
After I tucked the bunnies back up in their shed with treats, I ventured out to the post office to post the picture frame and to put some more money on the gas meter. The previous occupier of my house was a bit of a wild child (given by the number of court letters that came here when I moved in) and had a prepayment gas meter installed. I never got round to changing it as I met my Hubby shortly after moving in and so never intended to stay here so long. The meter has an orange credit card type "key" that you top up at a shop. I went in the co-op this morning and handed over my card and the money to top it up. The machine wouldn't recognise the card. I then realised that I'd handed over my orange RAC membership card by mistake! Whoops.
Right, enough of the waffle. Back to business. As it's Friday I'm once again joining Erika and sharing an old make. As it's Mother's Day on Sunday I'm sharing a card I made for Mother's Day a few years ago. The image is a House Mouse decoupage and the background paper you can just see has sunflowers on it and came from a Popcorn bear CD rom. The sunflowers were made from a Crafters Companion quilling die. At the time I only had the petal die and not the one for the centre, so I remember driving myself up the wall trimming off slivers of brown paper with my guillotine. I bought the die for the centres after that!
Hope you are all keeping warm and safe today and have a great weekend x

  1. Well you've had a busy day so far Cara. Glad both bunnies are safely tucked away with their treats.

What a pretty sunny oldie today. The little yellow flowers are very pretty. I think it was probably wise to buy the centre die. Now did you make good use of it once you'd got it? Have a lovely weekend. Barbxx

  2. I hope the bunnies are ok and enjoying their treats after this mornings ordeal. Vets for jabs for our pup next week and I am not looking forwards to it.
A beautiful oldie today Card, love those wee mice enjoying the sunshine on those lovely flowers, very summery. If only the weather outside matched. I got soaked this morning on my dog walk and no doubt will get soaked again later. The joys!
You did make me smile about handing the wrong card over, I've done that a few time with store loyalty cards....I'm loyal to anyone if I get offers! ;)

Have a super weekend and thanks for joining me today.

    Hugs Erika. x
