I thought I'd join Julia for what's on your workdesk Wednesday this week. So, this was the kitchen table earlier today. You can see I was creating a background with some inks for my Twofers challenge card, not sure if I will get it finished in time, but playing and getting inky is fun anyway. I rubber stamped the birdcage from Sugar Hollow and used the matching die to cut it out. I was really pleased with the gilding on the cage, my first attempt at using a quickie glue pen to gild with.
Hubby spolit me again at Christmas and bought me a set of distress reinkers which I've also used to make the backgrounds for my 2 ATCs which can be seen drying on top of the gilding flake box. What the photo doesn't show is my blue and grey stained fingers! Hope you all have a craftingly productive Wednesday.
Getting inky is such fun. I was just using my DI reinkers to do a couple of backgrounds myself. Thanks for sharing and great to meet you.

Happy WOYWW. I used to love DIs and could very easily have become an avid 'collector'! A self-enforced break from stash shopping has stopped my credit card exploding, but I do miss the all of the new products. Ali x #37
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Sounds like you're having fun with your inking. Looks like you have a stack of Distress Markers too.

That birdhouse is pretty. Me too with the glue pen and the gilding..more accurate where necessary and a lot less faff if you don't need a separate glue! Stained fingers are a sign of a good time at the desk!
