It's rain, dear and wind...

Hope you're all surviving this terrible weather we've been having, the wheelie bins took themselves off for a wander last night!
I thought I'd join the January Rudolph Day challenge and try and get a bit of a head start on this years Christmas cards. The image is from hero arts and I coloured him in with my trusty copics and added a  little sparkle to the bells and holly with my copic spica pens. He comes with unadorned antlers and a selection of stamps you can use to decorate him. The first card blank that came to hand was a 6x6 Kraft card and I used my tattered lace rectangles to cut him out and layer him on gold card (I know it's amazing that they're not the pin dot rectangles for once!) I used some red liner tape to stick on the ribbon at which point I discovered I'd made a tent card, added a bow and job done! I was going to add a sentiment but discovered that the Christmas ones I have are on Kraft card (yay!) with silver foiling (boo!). I might be brave and stamp one on at some point. Maybe.
Hope you all have a great weekend x

  4. This is such a fun and cute image. I like the antler decorations! I had such a chuckle when you said you realized that you had made a tent card...I do the same thing all the time. Every once in a while I totally put the image on a tent but upside down!
Thanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.

  6. Hi Cara,

I had no problem joining your blog, I have had a look around your blog and your cards are wonderful, love to see others who get card requests which can some times be difficult to work with, loved your lakes district/motorcycle card.

Your Rudolph is gorgeous, he looks great with the holly adorning his antlers. I have a special card sitting on my desk, regular rectangular card completely upside down to the spine of the card... will have to fix it soon...

  8. Super card, I love the idea of being able to stamp the decorations separately, a sort of pick'n'mix reindeer! Thanks for joining in this month's Rudolph Days challenge
