Another beautiful day

Well, not really, it's chucking it down here. This is the second card I made whilst playing with my Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set. I used the same inks as yesterday, however this time I decided not to add the final detail stamp to the flower and leaves, which gives it a softer look. Once again I didn't mask off the flower when adding the leaves, so instead I stamped a second flower and fussy cut that and stuck it on top with some 1mm foam tape. I added the sentiment with versafine black in. I used my tattered lace pin dot squares and essential squares to layer it up on some green card. Sequins as usual to hide the stray marks. I'm off to rest my right thumb now, I was playing making some paper roses this morning and managed to burn myself with the hot glue, got a nice little blister there now, you'd think I'd know better by now really!

  1. Sorry about the blister but I bet you had fun making the roses? Yes I am liking the rose with the one less layer, as you say a little softer. Great idea of yours to fussy cut the flower and then no need to mask. I'm sure all those sequins aren't to hide the stray marks lol xxx

  2. Aww blisters are so sore, and hot glue is not nice at all.
Gorgeous card, these colours are beautiful and I love the sequins in the same shades, more and more people are using them now instead of gems, I really like them. bucketing here too, and I;ve got a whirly of washing out, Kate x

  13. Beautiful card Cara, love how your using these stamps. I have to try mine again. Sorry to hear you got attacked by the hot glue gun. They are a bugger when their feral aren't they. Those burns seem to sting forever. Got myself a beauty one day, it attached one of my fingers and I had to fling it across the room, swore a bit too till I saw my grandson standing there looking at me horrified (have to laugh then). I then turned to him and said "and thats why you don't play with glue guns" lol.
