Fun in the sun

I'm

I thought this card was quite appropriate for today! This was one of the images that I coloured in whilst I was away. It's an Art Impressions image and they do make me smile, I'm not telling you which one of them is me though! Despite being overcast it's been very warm here today. It's 23 degrees inside despite having the back door open all day, but I still struggled to get a decent photo! I used Spellbinders Labels 25 and Majestic Labels 25 to create a frame for the image. You cant tell but I used the silver pen that Sarn made me buy for their sunglasses and added glossy accents to their drinks. Think they've been out in the sun too long!
Whilst out in the garden this morning I saw a striking fly I hadn't seen before, it was beautifully iridescent and blue with a red bottom. After a quick google (seriously, how did we cope without the internet?) I discovered it was a ruby tailed wasp. Absolutely stunning, I found a link to a picture of one for you https://www.flickr.com/photos/johnjeffery/14343413085

  6. Hi Cara, those ladies look totally chilled out, much prefer to be there, pouring rain, the full length of NSW, if you could see them through the mist local waterfall would be beautiful.... enjoy your warm summer days... Megan

  8. A really fun card and I love the golden frame.

Thanks for the link. What a stunning creature. My hubby is keen on micro photography and especially likes insects. I'll show him this when he gets home. We had a number of mason bees in the mortar on the front of our cottage last year. Barbxx

  14. Those ladies are fun and your Spellbinder frame is very lush and luxurious! The one thing I need is more dies but when there's choice of what to buy stamps or dies, not both, the stamps always win out, the curse of being a stamp addict lol. Love the picture of the wasp hun - such lovely iridescent colours Karen x

  17. Had to come back and say, every time I look at the lady on the end I picture that straw is a fag, I wonder if they were going to make her a smoker first up, it just makes me think that way. Thats of course coming from a use to smoker.
