This is the last of my Altenew Peony Bouquet cards for a while, honest. I actually managed to stamp this one without smudges, but languishing around for a week or so it managed to get some creases and so yet again, fussy cutting to the rescue! I cut two tattered lace pin dot squares out of white and red cardstock and embossed the white with a spellbinders folder. Red pearls on each corner, a sentiment from craftwork cards and a left over butterfly from the weekend coloured with a red spectrum noir sparkle pen to balance it out.
It doesn't show brilliantly in the photo, but I used brilliance inkpads and there is a gold shimmer to one of them, which is much more evident on one flower than the other, whether that's due to masking the front peony I don't know, but it actually works well on the image. Hopefully, you can see what I mean in the following photo, which is also proof that I didn't get inky smudges on it!
Hi Cara. home for a few days so am having a little break from the dreaded housework...ReplyDelete
I really wish I had the time to order these beautiful stamps! Great job and the shimmer shows well in the pic.. love it!
Wow Cara this is just beautiful, just love those AlteNew stamps.ReplyDelete
How are you doing? Big hugs x
Cara thats a beautiful card, love the peonies. And the shimmer shows up beautifully in the third photo.ReplyDelete
I have inked mine up a couple of times and each time not been happy with the end result, actually each time I have gone too far and it looks more like 'attack of the peonies' so need to practice a bit more. I love when you tell tales just like mine ' left it laying around too long and it got marks' cause it kind of unites us in a cause lol, yeah finish the card in one go.
Lucky a bit of fussy cutting fixes what glitter dots or sequins cant.
Wow Cara what gorgeous colors, embossing and card design.ReplyDelete
Totally gorgeous Cara, lovely embossing in the background too, love it, Kate xReplyDelete

OOoo what a lovely gold shimmer, you can certainly see it in the last pic, well done for catching it, not always easy to do. Beautiful flowers again, great layering and a stunning card.ReplyDelete
Hugs Erika. x
Cara, I love this, the colours and that shimmer (nice pic) are awesome. I am loving how you are using all these Altenew flowers. CxReplyDelete

I'm lovin these peony stamps and your gold shimmer is gorgeous!ReplyDelete
My word. This is one of the prettiest creations using these stamps that I have seen. The sheen from the ink pad looks like you have put mica on it.
