Yet more Altenew Peonies

This is the last of my Altenew Peony Bouquet cards for a while, honest. I actually managed to stamp this one without smudges, but languishing around for a week or so it managed to get some creases and so yet again, fussy cutting to the rescue! I cut two tattered lace pin dot squares out of white and red cardstock and embossed the white with a spellbinders folder. Red pearls on each corner, a sentiment from craftwork cards and a left over butterfly from the weekend coloured with a red spectrum noir sparkle pen to balance it out.
It doesn't show brilliantly in the photo, but I used brilliance inkpads and there is a gold shimmer to one of them, which is much more evident on one flower than the other, whether that's due to masking the front peony I don't know, but it actually works well on the image. Hopefully, you can see what I mean in the following photo, which is also proof that I didn't get inky smudges on it!

  3. Cara thats a beautiful card, love the peonies. And the shimmer shows up beautifully in the third photo.
I have inked mine up a couple of times and each time not been happy with the end result, actually each time I have gone too far and it looks more like 'attack of the peonies' so need to practice a bit more. I love when you tell tales just like mine ' left it laying around too long and it got marks' cause it kind of unites us in a cause lol, yeah finish the card in one go.
Lucky a bit of fussy cutting fixes what glitter dots or sequins cant.

  15. Hi Cara
My word. This is one of the prettiest creations using these stamps that I have seen. The sheen from the ink pad looks like you have put mica on it.
    Stunning!
