I know, another post from me! I've not joined in any challenges for ages and this is my second one in two days.
So, the new challenge over at Less is more is curves, and it's the dreaded one layer week. I have to say that since I purchased my MISTI (although I was gutted that within weeks of my finally succumbing and buying it all the cheaper versions came on the market) one layer card week isn't as scary as it used to be!
I used the super sweet stamp set, bear and bird from Waffle Flower and laid out the 4 stamps on my 5x7 card blank and stamped them with my Misti and then stamped the present in his hands, sorry, paws. I used Dreamees Inkydinks and blender solution in a water brush to colour in the image.
Hopefully, the leaves will count as a curve for the challenge.

I absolutely adore the folk art feel to this card - gorgeous! The bear is adorable and the curved swags of leaves are a great way of adding curves for our challenge. Love the muted colour palette too, which is subtle and effective. Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteCute card and great take on the curve theme.
ReplyDeleteI have these stamps, yet to have a proper play. Love the simple CAS nature of your card, especially with the soft colour palette you have chosen. The MISTI is worth the investment, I just swapped my mini for a large one and a friend gave me one of the smaller 'copies' prefer the MISTI personally, but the copy works just as well. Cx
ReplyDeleteReally sweet xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card Cara, love it. Thanks for your visit. xxx
ReplyDeleteAww that is such a sweet card Cara, love your layout too.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting not so patiently for my Tim Holtz stamping platform to be delivered, can't wait!
Your card is sooo cute. Love the soft colours you have used. I couldn't be without my Misti...saves a lot of wasted card!
ReplyDeleteWow!This is so pretty, elegant and perfectly stamped. Your delicate colours work brilliantly with the image and what a wonderful curve too. Thanks for playing with us at Less is More this week
ReplyDeleteWhat a super card Cara! The way you made an arch with the curves of leaves is just beautiful (wouldn't it look great over a bride and groom image too!!) The subtle colour pallet gives the card such a soft and feminine feel. Have fun with your Misti - dunno what I'd do without mine now. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
