Well, Mr Mojo has definitely gone walkies at the moment, so I thought a couple of challenges might help. Over at Less is More this week they want to see shadows and at the Butterfly Challenge their letter is F for Faux and the colour is jasmine.
Well, the faux bit didn't happen, but I die cut the main butterfly die (which I purchased from a Chinese seller on eBay for about £3) from jasmine and pale grey card and glued them together, offsetting them slightly to give a shadow effect. I also cut three butterflies out of the same card stock (the two largest are from an All Occasions set of 3 butterflies and the smallest was from a freebie set with a craft magazine) and glued them together in a similar fashion
I die cut a frame out of the grey card with tattered lace pindot squares and squares dies and glued it to a 6x6 card blank. I stamped the Clearly Besotted sentiment in London Fog memento ink, as I felt that black would be too harsh. I glued the card together and added some small cream pearls to the centre of the flowers. Not sure that I should have added the pale yellow pearls to the corners, but they're stuck there now. My photography skills have obviously gone walkies with Mr Mojo, sorry about the wonky pic!

Hi Cara, beautifully designed card, I love the soft neutral shades and the butterflies, Kate x
ReplyDeleteWell by using the pin dot frame work you have inadvertently managed a faux stitching effect on your card. I love your jasmine colour and those rather fabby butterflies. Just noticed you have used faux pearls too. There you go sorted!! Thankyou for fluttering by. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so elegant. There's so much dimension and movement in your card yet totally CAS too. thanks for playing along at Less is More this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Cara
ReplyDeleteSometimes the simplest creations look very elegant and this no exception.
Have looked at these kind of dies on ebay. Did it take an age to arrive?
