Sending lots of good wishes

Are we all still here? No one's completely melted then? I have no idea how those of you in foreign parts cope with the heat. You have my upmost respect and hopefully air con!
A super quick card today as despite my day off yesterday (including a lie in til 10.30) I'm still shattered, still only tomorrow to go.
The sentiment panel is an io die which I cut in matt gold mirri card, then backed with pink card and mounted on an A6 card blank with 1mm foam tape.  A couple of gems to dot the i's (nothing to do with the fact that I lost the dots, honest) and a couple of butterflies that were left over from the zig zag 60th birthday card I made recently, and job done.
Speaking of foam tape, as I was running low, I ordered some from eBay for about £12. I think it might keep me going for a bit, what do you think?

  1. You and me both! I hated the high temperatures - think I may have Viking blood running in my veins :-). Julia and I met up with Darnell (a US blogger) in Salisbury yesterday. It was sooooo hot but we sat in the cathedral cloister which were cool and blissful!!
    Hugs, LLJ 11 xx

  2. That's a great buy with the foam tape. Love the matt gold card with the pink, gorgeous colours together. Thanks for stopping by my blog...still doing research on coloured pencils. You suggested Spctrum Noir for kraft cards, thinking about prismacolor and polychromos too, so many to choose from and they all seem to do different things! I'll let you know what I decide x Thanks for your kind and generous comments on my blog x Try and keep cool x

  4. Hi Cara, oh my how much foam tape? That will last for ages.
Not been as hot as everywhere else in the country, quite pleasant really. I've not seen much of it as yet though with work.

I love your card, that die is super. Great colour combo too.

Enjoy your weekend. I work in the fridge at work sometimes, it's amazing how many of my colleagues pop in to see me at this time of year for a wee cool down. It is quite refreshing!

    Hugs Erika. x

  5. Cara, hello! everyone is cracking me up, a teeny bit of heat that you all wanted and you moan :) LOL. It has been 38c here with 90% humidity, so its HOT. We do have aircon though :) Love this beautiful card. One day I want to come and have a rummage / steal / play with your dies :) Been absent this week, it was hubby's birthday and the celebrations took over the week!! I might have to do the same with the foam tape..should last a week or two. Cx

  6. Still wonderfully warm, but not as bad as Tuesday! You seem to have it even hotter wherever you live Cara (I'm on the south coast).

    Lovely die cut card.
