Good Luck

So, this is the card I managed to rustle up in the chaos yesterday. On Tuesday a colleague in another team asked if I could make a good luck card for her student who is finishing her final placement and is expecting a baby boy in a couple of months, so could I include that too? She didn't need the card for a couple of weeks, but as I'm on leave then I had to get the card to her today.
I started of with an 8x8 card blank and layered up some silver and yellow card. I die cut a sheet of clouds from the Craftwork cards Washing line collection and some green card with a spellbinders grand square die and cut to give the illusion of grass. I mounted the grass on foam tape to allow me to poke the coffee stirrers behind it to act as poles. I added some bakers twine to form the washing line and added some baby clothes from the washing line collection.
I used the lili of the valley lucky cats stamp and decoupaged it up and coloured with my copics. I used Sue Wilson's ivy die and some paper flowers and added the sentiment using a lili of the valley stamp. Finally, I couldn't resist a little bit of faux stitching to finish it off.

  4. I think you have covered both requirements for this card admirably. I love the baby clothes line and the great idea to raise the grass do the poles slipped behind. Good thinking. Hugs Mrs A.

  9. This is a fabulous personalised card. Not a quickie but definitely worth the effort. I had to laugh at the coffee sticks as I save them too - mainly as glue sticks. I had funny looks today as I unwrapped the card insulation from a paper cup to add to my useful stash!
